Haiti - Security : Series of assassinations in Delmas...
Monday, Commissioner Gary Desrosiers, Deputy Spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) provided an update, at teh Police Sation of Delmas, on the assassinations by firearms of 4 people in the commune of Delmas between 6 and 9 November.

Friday, November 7 the engineer Marie Georgia Pamphile Guirand (30), was assaulted, robbed and killed by three men on a motorcycle, so she had to make a withdrawal to the Unibank Delmas 32. Gary Desrosiers explained that that it was thanks to the cooperation of local residents, that the police had managed to capture two of the three individuals involved in the attack : Andy Janvier aka "Roberto" and Fleury Jean Michelet who confessed to being the killer of the victim. The two criminals came from the town of Carrefour were handed over to the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) for appropriate action.

He also cited the case of 3 other murders in this short period : Émmanuel Lami, 32, shot dead outside his home in Delmas 31; also a person known as "Jude" and Frédely Desrosiers, 29, shot down to the Village solidarité.

The Spokesman, while recognizing a rise in crime in the metropolitan area with the approach of the holiday season, has insisted that it was targeted criminality and not a widespread insecurity "Acts that it is not easy for the police to anticipate," says Commissioner Desrosiers, who assured that measures to strengthen security are taken : including increased police presence by patrolling and fixed checkpoint more numerous in the streets of the capital.

As part of these murders, the Spokesman indicated that several individuals were actively seeking whose two Heads Gang of Carrefour, known as "Okay" and "Cherlin" as well as two other individuals known by the names "Big Jymmy" (a currency trader) and "Tet Kale" circulating in a jeep Galoper gray. Seeking assistance from anyone with information about these individuals.

Finally, he called for the cooperation of traders with the security forces to facilitate track down the bandits, lamenting that for fear of reprisals, some merchants refuse to cooperate with the police or become complicit in alerting the bandits of the police presence...
