Haiti - Education : New digital space at Les Cayes 23/09/2010 10:07:55
The future digital space is equipped with twenty computers connected to Internet, audiovisual equipment and a library specializing in science education. Solar panels are also installed. Coupled with batteries allow to compensate the frequent power outages on the island. It is there where the teachers of the Initiative for the remote Training of the Masters (Initiative pour la Formation à Distance des Maîtres IFADEM) but also their trainers and the pupil-teachers of the Ecole Normale of Teachers will be able to follow the workshops of initiation to computer and Internet. In Haiti, two departments are involved in a first experimental phase: South and Southeast. They are each equipped with digital spaces, arranged in institutions devoted to training teachers. Learn more about IFADEM IFADEM aims to strengthen the skills of school teachers based on a device that combines classroom training, distance learning and use of information technology and communication.
