The inhabitants of Croix-Hilaire, a locality of Petit-Goâve demonstrated this Tuesday, November 25, 2014 to demand the restoration of electricity in the area and blocked for more than two hours the National Road #2.

Deprived of electricity for 6 months, protesters have given an ultimatum to Electricity of Haiti (EDH) for the Croix-Hilaire transformer is reconnected. If by Thursday the transformer is not restored they threaten to erect barricades of burning tires on the National Road #2 "[...] We are not going to spend the rest of November without electricity..." declared running out of patience residents of Croix-Hilaire.

Moreover the Block of Democratic Opposition (BOD) affiliated to MOPOD, organized the same day a peaceful protest in downtown to demand without delay the appointment of the new municipal cartel of Petit-Goâve, under tutel of the Government [the cause of several weeks of demonstrations] and the dismissal of the Government Commissioner of Petit-Goâve, Me >Jean Alix Civil.
