Haiti - Security: Escape from the St-Marc prison, caused by negligence

On the escape, he said that a close to a detainee would have eluded penitentiary agents and smuggled a metal cutting saw in the prison. Sunday afternoon the prisoners were beaten the drum for several hours, which has covered the sounds of sawing the bars of the window of the cell #7, by which the detainees escaped by jumping into the court of an adjoining church to prison. The spokesperson stressed that this was a case of gross negligence and the General Inspectorate taking the matter very seriously.
