Haiti - Tourism : Things are moving everywhere !

A delegation of American journalists in Haiti

A group of American journalists landed on Haitian soil to visit the hotel infrastructure and tourist attractions of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince and of the Côte des Arcadins. The four-day exploratory visit, is in preparation for the launch of the package in 2015 with "Cheap Caribbean" (Apple Leisure Group). Led by Steve Bennett of the public relations company "SBPR". These journalists will visit hotels and tourist sites, which will be offered in this package in order to produce articles and reports that will serve as promotional materials for this offer. The delegation is composed of Marielle Celeste Bobo (Media outlet : EBONY Magazine) ; Brian Edward Major (Travalliance Media titles, two month magazines) ; Kym Allison Backer (Upscale) ; Isoul Hussan Harris (Editor in Chief of Uptown Magazine) ; John Lars Oseid (ForbesLife.com) ; Lebawit Girma (Viator Travel) ; Stephen Anthony Bennett (SBPR + Uncommon Caribbean) and Mark Bennett Rogers (Uncommon Caribbean).

Boosting the tourism sector in the North Region

Friday, Mrs. Dieudonne Etienne Luma, Regional Director North Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), met Mrs. Fazilah Cadjee, Consultant in Tourism of the Management organization of the Destination North Haiti, and Product Development Specialist. The objective of this meeting was to work on different aspects that can boost the tourism sector in the Northern Region.

The Brazilian media interest in Haiti

Friday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism (MTIC) met with members of a delegation of Brazilian journalists in exploratory visit to the country until December 10, 2014. Matt Teixeira, Vice President of Sales for Best Western International and Tamara Magloire, Marketing Director of Best Western Premier, are also part of this group.
