After the meeting, it was agreed to declare a state of permanence and the members of the Commission agreed to be entirely at the disposal of the Head of State and to be convened to any time of day or night. For nearly 10 hours of difficult discussions, the two sides finally agreed on the formation of a consensus government and a CEP which would include no representative of one of the three powers (executive, legislative and judicial). However, the change of the Prime Minister appointed Evans Paul, remains a major sticking point, the President Martely refusing this option that the opposition requires... Despite several points of disagreement, the opposition has agreed to meet again with the Head of State this Thursday to continue negotiations, 4 days before the deadline.
