Haiti - Politic : Senator Steven Benoît wants to convene the Government...

Although Parliament is no longer able to legislate, Senator Steven Benoît believes that this does not prevent the Senate to do its work and exercise control over the Government.
Steven Benoît said Wednesday that he intended to convince his colleagues to convene the Government that he considers as "de facto" front the Senate, after the National Carnival.
However his colleague, Senator Francisco Delacruz believes that with only 10 senators, the Senate is powerless and is not able to compel ministers to answer a convocation, noting that whatever the Senate can do in case of refusal, it is to impose a moral sanction...
