Haiti - Football : D-6 Inter-School Championship 2015
Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), met recently with a delegation of high school directors and from private schools around the support to be given to the organization of the Inter-School Championship 2015 reserved to under 2, which will host encounters from 32 high schools and private schools from 8 to 19 March. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13269-haiti-sports-the-inter-school-football-championship-on-track.html

Emmanuel Eliassaint, the West Departmental Director at the Ministry intervened on the preparation of the schedule and grouping of teams by zones to avoid long travel and encourage the participation of all competitors in the opening parade March 6, 2015.

For his part, Ms. Valliolah Saint Louis Gilmus, Director of Sports and Physical Activities of MJSAC, advocated for the establishment of a permanent structure for real support for school sport in Haiti.

Citing sport as an important element in education, principals have expressed their concerns regarding team preparation, the , availability of instructors, transportation of delegations, the measures to be taken on the medical and security level, the promotion of the championship and the acquisition of equipment and sports equipment.

Responding to their concern, Ie Minister assured again, he did not intend to back face the difficulties in order to support schools and facilitate the smooth running of the competition.

He also invited all directors to help to the strengthening of the youth sector and to highlight the vitality of this sector, by associating it with sports federations and youth associations, on the occasion of the Great March of Youth and Sports practitioners, which will take place March 15, 2015 in Port-au-Prince.
