Haiti - Elections : Final list of Political parties approved 01/04/2015 06:46:56
Recall that last week 105 political parties and groups https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13473-haiti-elections-full-list-of-political-parties-approved-and-non-approved.html had a record in conformity with the provisions of the Electoral Decree and that non approved parties and political groups had to produce any claims to the Directorate of Legal Affairs of CEP. Also the current list includes a total (approved and non approved) of 188 parties and political groups, compared to 192 last week, due to duplicate, 2 two political parties and 2 platforms who registered 2 time, the CEP has removed the excessive registration. "After claims made, within the statutory period, by representatives of political parties and groups not approved, with the Directorate of Legal Affairs, following the analysis of records après deliberation by the Council, it is appropriate to publish the complete list of political parties and groups [...] The Electoral Council reiterates its determination to do everything possible to hold free, fair, inclusive and democratic," says Pierre-Louis Opont, President of the CEP.
