Haiti - FLASH : Layoff of the Government Commissioner

Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, "in its concern to ensure the strict enforcement of the penal policy of the Government and to remain consistent with the line drawn, informs that Me Kherson Darius Charles, so far Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince, was laid off.
The Ministry intends, by this decision, giving new impetus to this prosecutor and ensure its full capacity for the proper functioning of justice and the preservation of the interests of society "
The Minister Casimir gives no further information on the reasons for the layoff, leaving open to any speculation... Recall that Me Kherson Darius Charles was especially noted in recent months by the severity of his actions and the numerous arrests during strikes and demonstrations of the transit sector in Port-au-Prince.
