Wanting to dispel some doubts about the market control of uniform fabrics, the Minister Nesmy Manigat clarified that "the government will not supplement importers. They will continue to conduct their commercial operations as in the past."

Nesmy Manigat also indicated that to give a certain flexibility in the application of this measure

for the first year of implementation, "No specification will be given on the quality of fabrics. What gives flexibility to importers. Furthermore, no requirement will be made on the model for manufacture of uniforms."

Moreover, "every school principal will have the opportunity to choose his identification badge to place frolnt the shirt or blouse of his students," confirmed the Minister Manigat.
