Haiti - Elections : Divergences within the "Alternative" Platform

While the alternative platform is always in favor of peaceful boycott of upcoming elections, 75 candidates under the banner of this platform, have decided against the position of the Executive to establish a national leadership campaign led by Gary Guiteau, the former member of the Organization of People in Struggle (Organisation du Peuple en Lutte OPL).
Guiteau says "This decision is motivated, inter alia, by the desire of candidates to make balance in parliament" reminding the candidates of the OPL, KID and Fusion who compose the Alternative, always expressed their opposition each time parliamentary debates were aligned unilaterally on government positions. "They are these same citizens who want to turn over today to the Parliament to continue to defend the interests of the Haitians". Former member saw fit to clarify that applicants for this national leadership campaign "kept good relations with Alternative platforms."
Victor Benoit, a member of the executive board of the Alternative, "the new structure about which Garry Guiteau speaks does not exist within the political Platform [...] and has no real value to this institution". He recalls that only the members of the executive committee of the Alternative: Rosny Smart, Edgard Leblanc Fils, Victor Benoit, Serge Gilles and Evans Paul, are authorized to bind the platform in any political process. he confirmed that the Alternative maintained its position of peaceful boycott for the elections announced "a poll which will be of nothing democratic, inclusive and credible" according to him.
To see what separates the position of Senior Executives of the platform and this "national leadership campaign" without any legitimacy within the Alternative, the "good relations" between the 75 candidates and the platform may be fleeting.
