After Cuba, the President of the French Republic François Hollande will complete his 4-days tour by an official visit to Haiti Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

Accompanied by a large delegation of 300 important people (members of the French government and Parliament, 5 presidents of French territories in the Caribbean basin, representatives of the academic, cultural and businessmen and 60 journalists) this visit of less than 24 hours, the first of President Holland, is part of the strengthening of relations between France and Haiti for two years.

As part of this official meeting, 4 cooperation agreements will be signed in the areas of energy, vocational training, food and education.

Agenda de la visite du Président Français :

• 10h00 a.m. : Official ceremony of welcome by the President Michel Joseph Martelly ;

• 10h30 a.m. : Homage at the tomb of the Fathers of the Haitian nation, at Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien ;

• 10h50 a.m. : Deposit of wreaths, ceremony of homage to the statue of Toussaint Louverture and speeches of both Head of State ;

• 11h45 a.m. : Interview head to head between the two Heads of State at the National Palace, followed by a meeting with other ministers of the two governments ;

• 12h30 p.m. : Joint press point ;

• 11h00 p.m. : Visit of future Hospital of State University of Haiti (co-funded by France to the tune of $25 million) ;

• 1h45 p.m. : Official lunch hosted in honor of President of the French Republic

• 3h15 p.m. : Reception of the French community.
