Haiti - Politic : The President François Hollande will visit Haiti
As part of his tour in Europe, after Germany, the President Martelly at the head of a Haitian delegation arrived on Friday in Paris, where the Head of State of Haiti met in the morning head to head at the Elysee Palace for nearly an hour, the President of France, François Hollande.

Following this meeting, the French President declared, "We discussed political issues, development issues, because we have important cooperation. [...] There are projects currently in development for the hospital and for the development of neighborhoods [...] I'll probably go to Haiti next year or in 2016, but the sooner the better, because I want us to have a great cooperation in the region with the presence of Guadeloupe, French Guiana and Martinique."

Regarding the timing of his arrival in Haiti, François Hollande indicated no date had been fixed "[...] there are several occasions. Both in 2015 than in 2016, we talked about it. The Organization of American States (OAS) will meet in Haiti, I could come here, this is the first opportunity and then I also have to travel in the French West Indies and I can take this opportunity to go to Haiti. So I will go to Haiti. [...]"

For his part, President Martelly declared, "We have discussed with the French President, including of the issue of elections in Haiti, cooperation and the possibility of an education partnership between our two countries, where, for example, retired teachers could come to Haiti and help us to provide the appropriate education to our youth Haiti, it would be quite interesting because this is a necessary step, to train young..."

During the day, the President Martelly, accompanied among other of members of the Haitian private business sector met at the "Cercle de l'Union Interallié", businessmen of Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) about investment opportunities in Haiti. Thereafter, the Head of State met with members of the Association of Haitian Taxis of Paris (ATHP) and gave interviews to the media. In the evening, accompanied by his wife Sophia and the Haitian official delegation, he had a bilateral meeting at the UNESCO House with Irina Bokova, the UNESCO Director. Then he intervened on the occasion of the launching ceremony of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of UNESCO where a tribute was also paid to Nelson Mandela.

Excerpts from the speech of President Martelly to UNESCO :
"Today that the world security is profoundly threatened, that men increasingly radicalized, we need others Mandela to help us defeat extremism and fanaticism. Otherwise there will be no going back.

I want to say is often at the memory of the Nobel Peace that I am referring when political differences or petty politicking endanger the proper functioning of Haitian institutions, when our differences with other states could undermine regional harmony.

The memory of Madiba is still alive more than ever because very few like him have overcome many challenges.

I'm here to tell you that the challenge i have to meet to engage Haiti's future is daunting.

I never tire of repeating that the safest way to borrow remain the education.

I am one of those who believe in our youth a holistic education that teaches not only the foundation of basic knowledge but also teaches the virtues that encourages boldness, unleashes creativity, strengthens he will, citizenship, the sense of effort, empathy.

I am among those who believe that the desirable overall shall not erase our cultural specificities.

I am among those who believe that scientific advances and new technologies are an invaluable opportunity for a country like mine.

I am even more convinced that every day, I discovered with amazement, the talent of our young people in this area, bringing the adaptation and integration program for their needs. They are supported by that certain advanced technical schools, I wanted to encourage this sector.

[...] The real challenge is to pose daily actions as did Nelson Mandela, acts that have the strength to influence the material and spiritual conditions of life of all members of our society.

For my part, I knew it was possible, through education, to build giant, I realized that through education the emergence of a new Haiti, at the height its history was possible.
