Judge Sonia Espejo, prosecutor in charge of Valverde, who led the preliminary investigation, said that the prosecution has a commitment to society to ensure that no facts remain unpunished. In the case of Arnold Pierre she said she will continue the instruction of the case with the investigation process, in order to ensure the imposition of the maximum sentence against the accused.
