The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), deplores the acts of violence perpetrated in Petit-Goâve against the residence of the Adviser Yolette Mengual (woman Sector Representative). Recall that last Friday, individuals have threw, in daylight and faces uncovered, stones against her residence and attempted to burn a vehicle affected to her.

The CEP recalls that electoral advisers are at the service of the Nation and perform their duties with impartially and sense of responsibility. Also, they condemn these acts, which are contrary to democratic principles and ask the competent authorities to prosecute and punish the perpetrators, co-perpetrators and accomplices of such acts to the fullest extent provided by law.

In addition, the CEP condemns in the strongest terms the burning of BEC of Petit-Goâve and of Cayes Jacmel, perpetrated after the publication of the list of approved candidates to participate in the legislative elections of 2015.
