Saturday, Rothchild François Jr., the Minister of Communication accompanied by his Director General Calvin Cadet went to Mirebalais (Central Department) to visit a series of projects under construction, including the new premises of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) who are at an advanced stage (75%) and funded by the Public Treasury fund "Travay sa a, inisyativ adm. Martelly, enpòtan anpil pou komin Mirebalais, lè nou gade bèl travay DGI ap fè nan Peyia," declared the Minsiter François.

Then he met young people in the parish hall of Mirebalais where they meet there every Saturday, "I am pleased to see how the youth of the Parish Centre are aware of election issues," said Minister after answering their questions on subjects such as elections and education in particular.

He also visited the construction site of the Public Market of Mirebalais, started in February 2014 and carried out by the "roupe de Travaux et de Construction" (GTC). This infrastructure once completed will have 58 warehouses and locations 1.2mx 90cm, and will accommodate up to 1,600traders. In this same market construction project is included 3 kms of road construction to connect it to the National Road #3.

To Sarazin (6 km Mirebalais) the Minister accompanied by the mayor and Vice-departmental delegate, has visited the site of a professional school composed of 2 buildings that will house 4 classrooms, 1 auditorium and 3 workshops before going to the Dam Péligre where major renovation work is underway "significant work has been done at the level of 3 hydroelectric turbines. This work was initiated and executed under the Martelly administration," said the Minister. Finally, he concluded his tour in Lascahobas where 6km streets were rehabilitated to the satisfaction of the population.

In parallel that same day, Calvin Cadet has launched the 5th edition of the training for journalists reminding journalists come follow this seminar "The actors of the Press sector should have skills to critically analyze the information. That's why we designed to the Minister of Communication a Support Programme to Media and professionals of the Press. This program has already hit the Southeast, North, South, Artibonite and must join all the other departments. Our training modules for this two-day seminar are designed to better train you so that you can better inform the public. Reports and coverage techniques of the electoral process are essential assets to better understand the elections." Note that during the first day of training Engineering Geologist Claude Prepetit shared his knowledge in Seismology in a module entitled "Understanding earthquakes to better inform".
