Official launch of Carifesta 2015
Tuesday night at the hotel Ibo lele, took place the official launch of Carifesta 2015 in the presence of members of the Caricom delegation, Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, Minister of Culture, Dr. Hilary Brown, Head of the Culture Programme and Community Development in the CARICOM Secretariat.

Recall that this large scale international event, will take place in Haiti from 21 to 31 August 2015 on 5 different sites: Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Les Cayes, Gonaives and Cap Haitien on the theme "Our roots, our culture, our common future" https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-14116-icihaiti-culture-two-major-events-in-haiti.html

The evening ended with a performance by Boukman Eksperyans.

Dr. Decatrel Mirville Jr., Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Haiti to the Dominican Republic and Mrs. Betina Joazile, Counsellor and Head of the Cultural Section of the Embassy, participated in the inauguration of the 19th edition of the Caribbean Tourism Bourse (BTC) at the hotel Dominican Fiesta, along with Luis Felipe Aquino, President of the BTC.
