Wednesday at the National Palace, the President Michel Martelly, met, Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education, Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice, Rodiny Jean-Baptiste, Director General of theUnit for the Fight against Corruption (ULCC) and Godson Orélus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), about of cases of serious irregularities (fraud and embezzlement) recorded through the Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14436-haiti-justice-vast-operation-of-embezzlement-of-psugo-funds.html The Head of State has formally passed instructions to those authorities to act with the greatest firmness on the issue of responsible for corrupt schools, both of public and private sector. He said that the State has taken all necessary measures in order to put the collar of everyone involved in the embezzlement of funds allocated to the operation of PSUGO. The Minister Manigat stated that a deployment plan across all departments, is expected from the new school year and that all private and public schools enrolled in PSUGO will be concerned. "All the means of justice will be made available to the Ministry of Education, to continue to pursue fraudsters," affirmed the Minister Casimir, indicating that the misappropriated funds will be returned for the benefit of students and teachers.
