Finally, 46 presidential candidates out of 53 have verified their ballot between Thursday and Friday, at the exception of André Michel, Antoine Joseph, Chavannes Jean-Baptiste, Edmonde Supplice Beauzile, Judy C. Roy, Vanel Durandus and Westner Polycarpe.

During these checks, 18 candidates have replaced their photo, two logos, two acronyms and names have been fixed. Philippe Augustin, the Director of the Electoral Register reported that those ballot papers including those of the resumption of parliamentary elections in several regions, presidential elections and local authorities, will cost a total of 4.6 million US dollars...

The MONOP ranks behind the presidential candidate Jude Célestin

On Friday, the "National Movement for the Organization of the Country" (MONOP) announced he had chosen Jude Célestin as presidential candidate for the upcoming elections of October 25, "We made this choice based on a political calculation; as an organization close to the lower classes, we believe that projects and society programs of the candidate Jude Célestin are not too different from what we have always advocated," indicated André Fadot, lthe MONOP Coordinator.

Working lunch with the presidential candidates

The Provisional Electoral Council, in the perspective of the presidential elections of October 25 and December 27, 2015, informs the general public, the political parties and groups in particular, that a working lunch will be held with the presidential candidates on Friday September 11, 2015, at the Hotel El Rancho, at 9:00 am. The agenda will include the measures adopted to achieve the election of 25 October.

Official dates of the presidential campaign

The Provisional Electoral Council, in accordance with Article 114 of the Electoral Decree of March 2, 2015 officially announced the opening of the electoral campaign for the presidential election, from 9 September to 23 October 2015. The Council took the opportunity to ask the leaders parties, political groups and candidates in general, in particular, to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of sections 115 and 115.1 of the Decree, in meetings of public nature.
