Marina Gourgue, Secretary of State for Vocational Training of Haiti, is on an official visit to Taiwan (Republic of China) until Thursday, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the education sector.

Invited by Taipei, the Secretary of State is accompanied by Mervil Guillaumette, the Director General of the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP), and Marie Lise Jeune Boucicault, also member of the INFP. The purpose of their visit is to better understand the local operation of vocational training, its organization and its developments.

These last two days, the Haitian delegation was received in various ministries, including Foreign Affairs, Education, and Labour. It will visit the Fund for International Cooperation and Development, the University of Science and Technology Jianguo, Taipei, and the private Tai bei High School, also in Taipei.

Recall that the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Haiti have maintained diplomatic relations since 1956 and the cooperation in the field of agriculture, public works, medicine, culture and education has steadily increased.
