Thursday, the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH), in partnership with the University Quisqueya, the Ministry of Education and the University Paris Est Créteil (UPEC), has launched a modular training day for obtaining the certification. It is in a word, the Validation of Acquired of the Professional Experience (VAEP).

Recall that the validation of experience, is a measure that allows anyone, regardless of age, education level or status, to validate acquired experience to obtain a professional certification. Generally, three years of experience related to the content of the certification referred are necessary.

VAEP is a device that allows the official obtaining of all or a part of a certification on the basis of proven experience. This feature is important for any organization that wants to set up within it a skills management. It is an excellent tool for social promotion of the individual.

During the day, the participants discussed among other of the genesis of the program, its issues, the political will to support the development of this program, its ambitions, its structure, its educational principles and its certifications.

The internationalization of the devices of VAEP requires adaptation to economic, educational and social realities in Haiti. Thus, to implement these systems in Haiti, a strategic development plan and updating of skills is considered particularly through qualifying and modular training.

This approach aims, among others, to act on individual motivations (desires to update his skills) and to reduce skills obsolescence.

The implementation of VAEP, which takes effect from the launch, leads to the necessity of creating a national directory of professional certifications or titles and technical and vocational training; n interdepartmental trade directory of the State; a trade directory of local authorities and finally a national directory of trades and jobs.

The UPEC will accompany the implementation process of this device in Haiti.
