FLASH : CTV municipal elections, process completed

The latest figures provided by the Central Tabulation of Votes (CTV) to the SONAPI indicate as of Friday, November 13 at 5:05 pm for the municipal elections 353 Minutes (PV) remain to be received, 0 are in treatment, 13.372 PV are completed or 97.43% out a total of 13.725 PV.

835 PV were excluded for municipal elections. Note that according to the electoral timetable, the publication of preliminary results of the municipal elections scheduled November 30, 2015.

CEP rectify its mistake

The Provisional Electoral Council informs that four hundred and ninety (490) minutes have been sidelined for presidential elections on 25 October, and ot two hundred ninety-six (296) as previously announced https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15742-haiti-flash-presidential-296-fraudulent-minutes.html . These minutes are available on the CEP website, have different types of fraud. According to Article 171.1 of the Electoral Decree, authors and accomplices of these frauds will be identified prosecuted and punished for violation of the provisions of the Decree.

Challenges, BCED West 1 declares itself incompetent...

Friday the Departmental Electoral Office of Litigation (BCED) West 1, heard several cases of challenges of preliminary results of the legislative elections of 25 October. Note that 11 Challenges have been filed at BCED West 1.

In addition, the BCED West 1 transferred to the National Office of Electoral Litigation (BCEN) the two challenges cases concerning the preliminary results of the first round of presidential elections. In its decision displayed the BCED West 1, declares itself incompetent to rule on these cases. Lack of respect for democratic principles

On Friday, Prime Minister Evans Paul said that those who have lost the election should change their mentality and stop "denounce the electoral process after losing an election," adding be convinced that the root of the political crisis in the country is the "lack of respect for democratic principles."

Fanmi Lavalas will not leave the streets

Friday, Maryse Narcisse candidate to the Presidency of Fanmi Lavalas, said while participating alongside thousands to the second day of demonstration scheduled "we will not let the street as long as all our votes are not counted, respected and recorded by the CEP [...] the final victory will be for the people, not for a group that wants to monopolize the country and rob the people of its vote, that is its single voice."
