For the G8, this Commission of Electoral Evaluation does not meet the main demand of the opposition parties, namely a Commission for independent verification. In an official note signed by Samuel Madistin, the G8 declare to have acquainted, through the press, of the formation of this Commission noting "[...] this Commission has been requested by the CEP in a non-published correspondence [...] It is inconceivable and unacceptable that they can consult together to impose a cosmetic solution to other actors involved in the crisis and the population [...] the G-8 deplores that the executive had not taken the time to consult senators in office and actors involved in the crisis to find the necessary consensus on the choice of personalities called to form the independent Commission of Inquiry requested by all the forces of the Nation."
