Friday, the day of the commemoration of the 212th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of Haiti, the President Michel Martelly during his speech to the Nation, in Gonaïves, announced the 2nd round of the Presidential Election for January 17, 2016 "Yesterday December 31 I received two letters from the CEP, a letter where it sent the results of the parliamentary elections to publish them and another letter in which they explained to me that to respect the parliamentary entry of January 11 and the inauguration of the new President on February 7, elections must be organized no later than January 17, 2016, this week i will relase a decree inviting the people to vote Sunday, January 17, 2016.
I ask everyone to respect the rules of the game, I ask all fanatics and supporters to stay calm, I ask you to vote en masse as it should be, go vote for the person you think will represent you best."
