Haiti - Epidemic : Japanese Medical Support
In its desire to continue the fight against the spread of cholera within the Haitian population, the Japanese government through its embassy in Haiti, decided to make available to the Department of Public Health and Population (MSPP), the sum of $183,000. Most of this amount, $122.000 was already been paid on October 28. The second part, $61,000 consists of medical materials:

  • 5,600 Erythomicyne Sirop 250 Mg
  • 10,000 Ringer Lacate 1000 ml
  • 2,000 Butterfly
  • 12,500 Cateter 22G
  • 7,500 Cateter 18G
  • 9,632 Infusion Tube

These medical materials are expected to arrive soon in Haiti and delivered to MSPP through WHO/PAHO. Japan wishes to present its most sincere condolences to the victims of this epidemic, and would like to renew its solidarity to the Haitian people in these difficult times.
