PM's explanations on the continuation of elections

Sunday, in Parliament, the Prime Minister named Fritz-Alphonse Jean answering a question on the continuation of elections of deputy Jacques St-Louis, Vice President at meetings explained "[...] the question of the continuation of elections Mr. Vice-President I reiterate that it will the continuation of the elections in compliance with the agreement of 5 February 2016 and I add that Parliament is involved there is a decree that governs how elections that we conducted recently, elections that allowed us to have this National Assembly. [...] In relation to elections that will be held, the President Privert said very clearly, in no way he will interfere in the functions of the CEP, I reiterate what the President said, the Government a supporting role to the CEP, a supporting role in relation to logistics, in terms of budget and security of the electoral apparatus. Some political parties propose to Privert a new agreement

President a.i. Jocelerme Privert held meetings with leaders of several political parties. Me André Michel (JISTIS), one of the participants at the meeting reported that the participants proposed to Mr. Privert the signing of a new agreement that should involve all political forces.

PM named has confirmed 4 additional ministers

Sunday at the ratification meeting of its general policy, Fritz-Alphonse Jean confirmed that according to the request of parliamentarians https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16888-haiti-politic-quorum-reversed-no-ratification-of-general-policy.html , there will be new Ministers that will integrate the Government, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, the Sports Minister, the Minister of National Defence and Minister of Education stating "For the Minister of National Education we have reached an agreement with the groups with whom we discuss, for the minister of youth we have almost reached an agreement and we are in discussion for the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad."

Godson Orélus at the National Palace

Godson Orélus the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) confirmed that a meeting was recently held at the National Palace between the Provisional President Jocelerme Privert and the high command of the PNH, adding "There was discussion on the PNH efforts in the fight against insecurity."
