The senatorial elections in October, not in the mandate of the CEP
Léopold Berlanger, President of the Provisional Electoral Council stated that the electoral institution does not have at present, the mission to organize the senatorial elections in October, its mission is limited to pursue and complete the 2015 elections .

The BCEN ready for the municipal appeals
According to Carlos Hercules, Vice President of the CEP, the 3 sections of the National Office of Electoral Disputes (BCEN) will be constituted next week. The BCEN will sit for about two weeks and will render its judgments on appeals made by candidates in the municipal elections of 25 October 2015, in order to complete the publication of the results of the municipal. Each section of the BCEN will be composed of two electoral advisers, two lawyers and a judge of Court of Appeal who will be selected by draw, the day of the hearing to prevent corruption attempts.

PHTK boycotted the invitation of CEP
The PHTK declined an invitation of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), which have on its agenda "Discussion - Exchanges around the Verification Commission and of electoral evaluation"
In a correspondence the PHTK considers that this meeting is inappropriate since the Commission is not mentioned in the agreement of February 5 "[...] the PHTK is obliged to decline the invitation because it does not wish to bring water to the mill of hostile sectors to the finalization of the electoral process initiated in 2015" adding "however, the PHTK remains willing to meet the CEP to discuss, under the terms of the Agreement, the organizational conditions of the second round of elections."

CEP dialogue with the G8
Friday, April 29, members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) met with members of the G8. Discussions focused particularly on the functioning of the tabulation center, the recruitment of members of polling stations and representatives. Marie-Frantz Joachim, Secretary General of the CEP, indicated that G8 has expressed concerns that echo those of the Council in particular on the functioning of the tabulation center, the recruitment of members of polling stations and representatives.

Yet another appointment !
By presidential decree, Dischler Marcelin was appointed Director General of the National Radio of Haiti (R.N.H) and the National Television of Haiti (T.N.H). Dischler Marcelin, is a journalist and was host of "public debates" on Channel 11, he was also part of the communication service as adviser to former President Martelly. He takes over from Jules Gamall Augustine.

Positive discrimination ?
Thursday in a press conference, Marie Denise Claude, the new Minister for the Status of Women and Women's Rights said she wished that his Ministry provide legal support to 13 cartels women enrolled in municipal elections, which have filed complaints with the National Electoral Office of Litigation.
