Haiti - Politic : State funeral of police officer Jean Louis Tisson 01/06/2016 10:45:21 On this occasion Michel-Ange Gédéon, the Director General a.i. of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) issued this strong message "Tisson Jean-Louis was an exemplary police officer, with a ively temperament, fearless, brave and courageous. He had illustrated himself during the Operation Bagdad and always reassured his peers. He was like the Capois Lamort of his intervention brigades. Alone he could repel the fiercest opponents. The day he was to bid farewell to the earth, he was informed of gunfire from assailants who attacked the police station of Les Cayes, soon he changed course to counter their actions. Having seen them, he decided to confront them directly, stoically and heroically. It was then that the commandos shot him. He paid with his life his commitment and fell in duty. Today his sacrifice is a lesson of patriotism for a body for an institution, for a country seeking a dignified people like Diogène carrying a lamp in broad daylight to find a man. He battled against the champions of national indignity. This man is a perfect example of bravery and an excellent antidote against the indignity and individualism! Police officers, the threat is still there, be careful ! Tisson as for you, go in peace, you filled weel your day you have your place among the greatest national heroes. We thank you. May the earth rest lightly on you !" Moreover, the President a.i. Jocelerme Privert in his remarks of circumstance declared "Tisson Jean-Louis is and remains a symbol, a symbol of courage, of the sense of duty and sacrifice.
