Haiti - Education : 397M Gdes made available to MENFP

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) inform the public in general and private school principals, in particular, involved in the implementation of PSUGO, that an amount of $397 million gourdes been made available to the Ministry in order to continue the school payment process.

In the interests of transparency and control of the payment process of schools part of PSUGO, the MENFP asked the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to directly payment by check the schools concerned, with the support of the General Inspectorate of Finance.

The ministry indicates that it is to ensure that schools will receive their due in compliance with the procedures and are effectively those for which the MENFP has debts. To do this, it is asked to each head of school to bring the following documents to remove the check from the representatives of Finance :

- A copy of the signed contract;

- School operating authorization from the MENFP;

- Copy of NIF and CIN of director responsible.

MENFP thank principals for their patience and understanding and invites them to continue the accompanying efforts of children benefit from their service; and reiterates, once again, its willingness to respect its commitments under the PSUGO.
