Haiti - Politic : Jocelerme Privert remains in power 15/06/2016 21:14:48 Accompanied by Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, and his cabinet, the Head of State gave an overview of its 120 days in the highest office of the country. The various clauses of the agreement of February 5, 2016 have been reviewed as well as efforts made by its administration to go to the end of th requirements set. Privert President recalled the circumstances of his accession to power and the many challenges his team faced to establish a climate of peace and serenity in the country. With regard to his responsibilities vis-à-vis the political agreement of February 5, the Head of State noted the various steps taken including : Political consultations with the various groups not represented in parliament and the Presidents of the chambers around the choice of the Prime Minister - The formation of a consensus government - The revitalization of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) - The continuation of the electoral process - The effective and efficient management of the Public Administration Moreover, the President Privert welcomed the achievements made in this short time, including the establishment of a climate of confidence and peace established both at the level of the population as of political actors involved in the electoral process. Jocelerme Privert continues to express his willingness to respect until the end its main mission that is to finalize the electoral process. He also urged parliamentarians to take their responsibility by gather in National Assembly to make the necessary arrangements, as indicated by the political agreement of February 5, 2016. Ending his speech with "[...] today I remain available today pending the decision of the National Assembly.
