Haiti - Politic : Incidents in Parliament, Presidency reaction

In a note, the Presidency "condemns in the strongest terms the incidents just outside the Legislative Palace in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 21, 2016 and that have disrupted the session in National Assembly https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17804-haiti-flash-national-assembly-postponed-sine-die-due-to-violence.html

As soon informed the Presidency of the Republic has passed instructions to the relevant bodies and the National Police of Haiti (PNH) so that immediate steps be taken to protect lives and property and to ensure the safety of public buildings.

While the country is undergoing interrogation times, the Presidency of the Republic invites the population to calm and serenity to face the issues and challenges of the conjoncture [...]"

Anthony Barbier, Secretary General of the Presidency recalls in his note that "the inalienable and imprescriptible rights of citizens, of social or political associations, to express freely, and in any peaceful form, their opinions and claims, a for corollary the respect of contrary opinions [...] the Presidency urges the social and political actors to avoid 'slippage' acts, the drift and leakage that could endanger public and private property [...]"
