Haiti - FLASH : Clifford Brandt, 10th audience, trial postponed again...

Wednesday as part of criminal assizes with and without jury assistance to the court of first instance of Port-au-Prince, at the resumption of the trial programmed of Clifford Harry Brandt suspended since 7 March (10th audience...), Me Wilner Morin, the judge in charge of the case announced that he voluntarily withdrew from the case.
Recall that 5 of the 6 defense lawyers Évens Larieux, Carlo Bendel Saint-Fort, Ricot Pierre Jean, and Carline Richema of the Council of Defence, had already made such a request during the hearing on 7 March, due to their lack of confidence in the court.
That request was finally approved by the Dean of the court during an adjournment stressing that he had no particular interest in this case and that this process was to facilitate the accused to defend themselves without the slightest concern.
It is now up to the dean of the court to take all necessary measures for the continuation of this case.
