Haiti - Cuba : Towards the creation of a Faculty of Physical Education and Sports

Earlier this week at the Polyvalent Training Centre of the roix-des-Bouquets, Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) received Naima Ariatne Bareto Trujillo, Rector of the Jose Marti Perez University of Espiritu Santi of Cuba, around the creation of a Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.

During the meeting which was also attended by Franck Charles, Rector of the University La Renaissance of aiti, Auguste D'Meza, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Eyen Luis Reina Garcia, assistant to the Rector Bareto, the Minister Nazaire while extolling the virtues of the Cuban sports model that has allowed Cuba to be among the best sporting nations in the world, showed great interest in the project that would allow Haiti to have sports technicians trained locally.

Satisfied with the welcome reserved to her, Naima Ariatne Bareto Trujillo, was pleased to see the Ministry to join this project that could be operational as early as November.

A work schedule will be developed between the MJSAC, the University La Renaissance of Haiti and the Cuban University to complete this project, which is part of the will of the Minister Nazaire to establish new partnerships with friendly countries and international sports institutions to provide the country with essential tools to sports development in Haiti.
