Haiti - FLASH : Former President Aristide suffered a discomfort in Cap-Haitien 17/09/2016 09:16:33
Statement of Jean Bertrand Aristide on his health : https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18651-haiti-flash-statement-of-jean-bertrand-aristide-on-his-health.html Friday, the caravan of Maryse Narcisse, presidential candidate under the banner of the Party "Fanmi Lavalas" went to Cap-Haïtien for the launch of her electoral campaign accompanied by former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, after making steps in Cabaret, Saint-Marc and Gonaïves. In Cap-Haitien, while the former President Jean Bertrand Aristide (63 years) came to speak, under protection, in the early evening after 3 hours late (because of tension with supporters of Jean-Charles Moïse), the leader of "Famni Lavalas" was suddenly victim of a discomfort and collapsed unconscious before the crowd of his supporters. After attempts to reanimate him, he was rushed to the Justinian Hospital in Cap Haitien whose security has been reinforced by members of the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO)... For now, no official statement on the cause of his discomfort and his health. Perhaps he overestimated his strength after a day of 12 hours, 300 km of road and the stress linked to its heavy security. According to medical sources, the rest would have been recommended to him. This morning J-B Aristide would have left the hospital and would be at the hotel Mont-Jolie.
