Haiti - Humanitarian : Thank you Food For The Poor
In response to passage on Haiti, of Category 4 hurricane Matthew, the NGO Food For The Poor Haiti working in Haiti for 30 years https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3192-haiti-humanitarian-food-for-the-poor-celebrates-its-25-years.html is preparing to respond to the emergency.

NGO officials explain the actions taken as part of their response plan "Our truck-trailers are ready to deliver dry food rations to the different municipalities of the metropolitan area; including the municipalities of: Petionville, Port-au-Prince, Delmas, Cité Soleil, Carrefour, Tabarre

We are working with the Diocese of Grand-Anse, to help the people in this locality that faces great danger.

We also assist the sourcing of our regional distribution centers in the provinces (Anse à Veau / Nippes, Port-de-Paix / Northwest Balan / Ganthier, Les Cayes / South, Jacmel / South East, Gonaives / Artibonite) to provide aid directly to beneficiaries.

We confirm that stocks of food and equipment including: rice, peas, vienna sausage, candles, rubber boots, candles, shovels, picks, blankets were sent and received in regional distribution centers.

Les Cayes: 2 40-foot containers
Jeremiah 1 truck 18 feet
Pestel: 1 truck 18 feet
Anse à Veau: 2 40-foot containers
Jacmel: 2 40-foot containers
Ganthier: 1 40-foot containers
Gonaives: 1 40-foot containers and one truck 18 feet
Cap Haitien: 4 40-foot containers

Meanwhile 4 trucks of 10 feet, one 20 feet and 5 40-foot containers are being loaded and ready to be dispatched on Tuesday morning according to the most affected areas.

All employees are mobilized to respond to the urgency of the situation.

In a note Michel Ange Gédéon, Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) shared with the Department Directors (DD) the informations relating to the distribution plan for Food for the Poor a plan that requires the intervention of all DD. Moreover, in the context of securing these containers, he asked the Divisional Commissioner Carl Henry Boucher to coordinate security arrangements between the DOS and/or CIMO and other departments.
