Haiti - Economy : World Bank sends experts on the ground 07/10/2016 10:45:07
Thursday, Jim Yong Kim is President of World Bank (WB) announced the dispatch of a team of experts to Haiti to assess the damage caused by the destructive passage of Matthew and the immediate needs.
He informed that the WB will use the operating funds available to provide assistance for debris removal, recovery of bridges and roads, rebuilding schools and disposal of mud, which requires heavy equipment and expensive.
Kim announced the decision of the Bank to assist the Haitian government, offering immediate assistance to meet the emergency.
