Haiti - USA : End of Mission for US Marines 19/10/2016 11:08:31
Tuesday, a military official at the Pentagon said that the some 500 American soldiers and marines deployed to Haiti to help after the passage of Hurricane Matthew, complete their mission and should definitely leave Haiti in a few days.
According to Admiral Kurt Tidd, almost all humanitarian aid is now done by road and the 9 US helicopters used to transport emergency aid in areas of difficult access, have left the airport Port-au-Prince they now take off from a US helicopter carrier (USS Iwo Jima) and should stop flights to Haiti in the next 48 hours. Recalling that these helicopters have transported nearly 250 tons of emergency aid during their mission in Haiti.
