Haiti - Justice : Appeal to neutrality of judicial and police authorities

In this Thursday, November 3, the first day of the relaunch of the electoral campaign (3 to 18 November 2016 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19109-haiti-notice-the-cep-advance-the-beginning-of-the-electoral-campaign.html for partial legislative, the third of the Senate and Presidential) Camille Édouard, Minister of Justice and Public Security, reiterates its appeal to neutrality and impartiality to the Government Commissioners of the 18 jurisdictions in the country, the Judges of Peace and National Police of Haiti (PNH).

Recalling "In the exercise of your duties, you are required to work without prejudice or bias to avoid any situation that would compromise the reputation of the Republic."

Moreover, the Minister stressed the need that they make themselves available to any request of the electoral authorities, when it comes to prevent or punish crimes related to the electoral process.

While calling the electoral stakeholders to respect the standards imposed by the Electoral Decree, the Minister Édouard, "guarantees that all measures were taken for the smooth conduct of the elections..."
