Haiti - Elections : Michel Martelly proposes a way out of crisis
At the occasion of a press conference this Tuesday, the candidate Michel Martelly, as part of a political compromise has exposed to the media a way out of crisis.

He proposes that a second round is organized on January 16th, 2011, with all the candidates, but an election supervised by national and international independent organisms. Stating that this can be done without reworking within the Provisional Electoral Council, "there must be revocations, changes. Because we do not trust these people. If this is not done, I do not think that the people who will be elected in the next election, will have legitimacy and respect from the people nor the international community" Adding that "in a true democracy every vote counts".

Michel Martelly, said he was open to "all other proposals because it is the interest of Haiti that counts and that the crisis must be resolved, "he encouraged all other initiatives in this direction "I learned that moral and religious authorities in the country are making consultations on the crisis, I support and encourage them".

The candidate has complained all the money that was spent in this election, which could be used "to relieve the misery of the people, to fight cholera and serve the people, to stop living like animals and under tents [...] we can continue to waste, then, let us look at how one can advance the things, I believe that this solution can solve the crisis".

Michel Martelly ended his speech while launching an appeal for the mobilization to his supporters "in peace, discipline and order"
