The senators of the minority group in the Senate, met with the Group of 12 presidential candidates, requiring the cancellation of the election on November 28 to offer their proposals for ending the crisis.

Senator Jean William Jeanty said that what happened on November 28, can not be considered as an election. He denounced some complicity of the international community in the vast movement of contempt for the right of Haitians to choose their leaders freely. On behalf of the minority group of Senators, William Jeanty has proposed the cancellation of "elections" and the arrest of those responsible for fraud. He also suggested holding a national dialogue to establish a consensus government that can organize good elections in the country.

For her part, Senator Bauzile Edmonde, said that this proposal will be discussed with the political platforms to get their accessions. In addition, she proposed the establishment of a monitoring committee to help carry out this proposal. She finally wishes that these proposals are not only those of parliamentarians but they should be shared and become one of the Group of 12.
