Haiti - FLASH : The CEP rejects requests for recusals...

Wednesday 28 December, following the requests for recusals of the 5 judges of the electoral court formulated by the contestants candidates Jude Célestin (LAPEH) and Moïse Jean-Charles "Piti Dessalin" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19635-haiti-elections-the-protesters-try-to-challenge-the-electoral-judges.html , the members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) meeting in a extraordinary session after deliberation, took the decision to reject the request for recusals made by protesting candidates Jude Célestin and Moïse Jean-Charles and announced the resumption of the verification of the minutes at the Vote Tabulation Centre (CTV) from Wednesday 6:00 p.m.
In a statement issued Wednesday at 4 pm, Nicole Siméon, he Spokesperson of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) confirms "The CEP, after deliberation, rejected the recusal requests by protesters presidential candidates 'because of lateness and unfounded'. Accordingly, the verifiations will resume at CTV at 6:00 pm tonight."
Note that when operations stopped on Tuesday it remained to process 261 minutes (PV) to complete the 12% of PV to be verified.
