At his recent trip to New York he declared that "[...] nothing will prevent Jovenel Moïse to take the oath," stressing that even if the National Assembly of 7 February could not be held "[...] the Prime Minister as well as the National Police of Haiti will take the necessary steps to install President Jovenel Moïse at the National Palace. Concerning the choice of the new Prime Minister and the names that are already circulating, the Deputy Bodeau affirmed that these were only rumors unfounded and that this choice will be made at the appropriate time, according to the prescriptions of the Constitution, in consultation with Phe presidents of both chambers after the inauguration of the President-elect.
