Haiti - Politics : Monitoring of the process of passport services relocation
Tuesday, Jude Saint-Natus, the Director General of the Ministry of the Interior, accompanied by Jean Osselin Lambert, System Engineer at the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration, provided an update on the progress of decentralization of services of passports, for a better performance in the production and delivery of these documents.

Engineer Lambert announced the opening in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, in partnership with the town halls of Pétion-ville, Tabarre, Carrefour and Port-au-Prince, of 4 filing of documents centres and of delivery of passports in order to deconcentrate the Central Unit in Lalue, which will eventually become a production center.

This process of delocalization and deconcentration of the service should technically culminate in the next 60 days thanks to the release of funds for the realization of the works by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance.

Other Centres have already been set up: Cap-Haïtien, Cayes, Jérémie, Jacmel and Gonaïves and 2 other Centres will soon be set up in Saint-Marc and Hinche.
