Resolution in the Lower House in favor of Guy Philippe

The name of a possible PM not before March..?

The consultations between President Jovenel Moïse and the presidents of both Houses of Parliament for the choice of the Prime Minister would be stalled... no new meeting in Parliament is officially scheduled the last formal consultation, dates from Thursday 9 February. According to what circulates in the corridors, it is unlikely that Haiti knows the name of the candidate Prime Minister before the month of March...

"Jistis Min" denounces a draft of the CCHC

The collective "Jistis Min", grouping together several organizations such as PAPDA, RNDDH, POHDH and JILAP, denounced a draft of the Haitian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCHC), a document of the World Bank, aimed at be used for the development of a draft bill authorizing mining in Haiti.

Carnival of Croix-des-Bouquets

The Carnaval de la Croix-des-Bouquets will take place on Sunday 19 February 2017 around the theme "Kwadèboukè vle viv, ann fè l viv" The Organizing Committee for Carnival Activities announces that disc jockeys (DJs), groups and walking bands will ensure the atmosphere in a setting aimed at promoting the artistic and cultural values of the commune. Celebration of the funerals of 23 prisoners

Wednesday, Commissioner Jean Danton Léger announced that the funeral of 23 prisoners who had died in the national penitentiary had been celebrated Tuesday in St. Anne's Church in Port-au-Prince.
