Monday, accompanied among others of awyers, Mario Joseph and Gervais Charles, and former presidential candidate Maryse Narcisse, Jean Bertrand Aristide finally went to the office of Judge Wilner Morin, Monday, to be heard as a witness in the money laundering case involving former police commissioner Jean Anthony Nazaire, his hearing lasted more than 2 hours. Me Mario Joseph said the hearing went smoothly saying "It's over. There are no other appointments, Jean-Bertrand Aristide was heard as a witness"

Seizure of narcotics at the airport of PAP

Saturday, at the International Airport Toussaint Louverture, the agents of the Brigade for the Fight against Trafficking Narcotic drugs (BLTS),have arrested an alleged drug dealer Alexandra Fabienne Christina (30) who was on an American Airlines flight to Fort Lauderdale with her possession of 3.80 kg of cocaine, according to senior inspector Gary Desrosiers, deputy spokesman for the Haitian National Police (PNH).

He also recalled that during two operations, on 2 and 3 March last, at Toussaint Louverture Airport, 6 kg of cocaine had been seized and 4 people had been arrested, including 2 Dominicans.

Environment, the Ministry wants to act quickly

The Ministry of the Environment calls for a "quick and effective" implementation of the National Climate Change Policy (PNCC). The Ministry ntends to advocate for a more structured communication on climate change and ongoing advocacy with key decision-makers, including Parliament. The PNCC should contribute mainly to improving the well-being of Haitians "through an inclusive, climate-intelligent and low-carbon socio-economic development process", the Ministry said.

Re-election of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the UEH

Friday, Dr. Jean-Claude Cadet was re-elected for a second term as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the State University of Haiti. He was re-elected in the second round of voting for a four-year term against Dr Vladimyr Larsen with 45% of the votes against 29%.
