Change in the PNH

Changes were made within the PNH these last days: Carmelle Florent replaces Commissioner Michelet Choute at the head of the Central Directorate for Road Police. Divisional Commissioner Alain Auguste succeeds Marc Justin at the PNH West Departmental Directorate.

Minimum wage, meetings multiply

Roosevelt Bellevue, the new Minister of Social Affairs, said that he had met several times with the employers, the trade unions of the workers and the Superior Council of Wages, about the increase of the minimum wage demanded by the workers of the outsourcing. He considers that the issue of raising the minimum wage must be addressed rationally.

The BSEIPH sets the example

Thanks to the support of the Christian Blind Mission (CBM), redevelopment work was carried out at the Office of the Secretary of State (Gérald Oriol Jr.) for the Integration of People with Disabilities (BSEIPH) in order to offer better conditions of access for persons with reduced mobility, among others: installation of guidance and alertness lines, ramps and handrails and adapted toilets.

Consulate Miami, Easter holiday

The Consulate General of Haiti in Miami will be closed on Thursday, April 13 at noon, Friday, April 14 and Saturday, the whole day on the occasion of the Easter celebrations. Office hours will normally resume on Monday 17 April 2017 at 8:00 a.m.
