OAS support to the tourism sector

Frédéric Bolduc, Special Representative of the Organization of American States (OAS) and Nino Karamaoun Senior Adviser of the OAS Office in Haiti, met with Minister of Tourism Jessy Menos. Was addressed the institutional strengthening, the revitalization of the awareness campaign launched in 2015, of the training and the sharing of expertise. Following these exchanges, Bolduc reiterated to Minister Menos his commitment to support the tourism sector.

Ambassadors round table

Wednesday, as part of the 2nd European Union Cooperation Festival (EU-Haiti), the Ambassadors' Round Table was held in the presence of EU Ambassador Vincent Degert, Ambassador of Germany, Manfred Auster, Ambassador of France, Elisabeth Beton Delègue and Spanish Chargé d'affaires, Sergio Cuesta, who exchanged views with the public on the different challenges of the European Union.

Implementation of the SECAL project

Within the framework of the Europe week, the Departmental Directorate of Agriculture of the South, with the financial participation of the French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Union, has implemented the SECAL project https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20732-haiti-europe-additional-4-million-for-post-matthew-recovery.html which aims to contribute to the improvement of food security in Les Cayes region as well as to the raising of populations following the passage of Matthew.

Minister of Culture visits the National Theater

Limond Toussaint, the Minister of Culture as part of a tour to better understand the institutions under his responsibility, went to the National Theater of Haiti where he told a group of young actors, dancers and drummers in rehearsal "My visit is part of my vision to accompany and promote artistic and cultural education in Haiti," welcoming the dynamism of the Director General, Yves Pénel and his supervision of young people.
