Haiti - Ecuador : Moïse will attend the inauguration of President Moreno

President Jovenel Moïse will be one of 14 dignitaries present at the inauguration ceremony of Ecuador's newly elected President, the Socialist Lenín Moreno, candidate of the Party in power (Alianza Pais) and dauphin of the current Head of State, Rafael Correa. The press office of President Moreno confirmed that until Saturday, the arrival of the Haitian President is still confirmed.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday 24 May at 10:00 am at the plenary session of the National Assembly, while at 1:00 p.m. the new President Moreno will offer a lunch for Heads of national and international delegations.

In addition to the President of Haiti, other leaders of the region confirmed their presence among others: Jimmy Morales (Guatemala), Juan Orlando Hernández (Honduras), Óscar Samuel Ortiz, Vice-President (El Salvador) and Luis Guillermo Solís (Costa Rica), President Evo Morales Ayma (Bolivia); Michelle Bachelet (Chile); Mauricio Macri (Argentina); Horacio Cartes (Paraguay); Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia).

Will also be present Brahim Gali Sahrawi of the Arab Democratic Republic; Ana Pastor Julián, President of the Congress of Deputies, Spain; Diaz-Canel Miguel, first vice-president of Cuba.

Lenín Moreno, won the last elections that took place on 2 April against his right-wing opponent the very liberal banker Guillermo Lasso.
