Haiti - NOTICE IRMA : Banks, hotels and tourists

Banks :

The Professional Association of Banks (APB) informs the public that due to the imminent passage of hurricane IRMA, the branches of the various commercial, savings and housing banks located in the departments of the North, and the Northwest will be closed on Thursday 7th September 2017. All other branches will remain open to the public until noon on Thursday.

The ADB intends to inform the clientele on the morning of Friday of the new arrangements that these members will adopt according to the evolution of the situation after the passage of IRMA.

Tourist establishments :

The Ministry of Tourism invites the owners and managers of beach hotels to take all necessary measures and arrangements with a view to obtaining information on governmental directives and measures, in particular those of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) to prepare the population against all risks related to the passage in the North of Haiti of Hurricane IRMA of category 5.

The Ministry also invites tourists to inquire with their airlines about any changes that may occur as a result of the cyclone over Haiti or the Caribbean region in general.
